Dormouse is a traditional 18th century cottage which has been refurbished to become a peaceful country retreat for five. Although modernised, Dormouse has retained its character and friendly feel. The kitchen has attractive wooden surfaces and has been fitted with new appliances. The cosy sitting room has pretty antiques and a traditional wood burning stove. The snug offers a second space for reading or relaxing: there are toys and books available; including brio train track, a wooden castle, wooden toys and board games. There are four bedrooms upstairs: two king-sized and two singles. The bathroom has a yew wooden floor and bespoke tiles, made by a local artist. There is a power shower over the bath. The large garden has a BBQ patio area, with a wooden table and chairs, apple trees and glimpses of the hills beyond. On a clear night, the darkness of the village ensures a beautiful view of the expanse of stars. Dogs are welcome at Dormouse, and a hose is available to help clean muddy paws.
